������˾��’s Atrévete Center of Excellence for Latinx/Hispanic Social Work Practice* is developing four AI-powered simulations in Spanish so that Spanish-speaking students can practice their clinical skills in their native language.  

“I am proud that our center will be developing a resource that Spanish-speaking students in many Schools of Social Work can access,” says ������˾�� Professor of Social Work Jayashree Nimmagadda, who is principal investigator on this project. “This is an innovative cutting-edge approach to teaching clinical skills to social work students, and ������˾�� is at the forefront of this technology.”

Atrévete partnered with the online learning platform Simucase to develop the simulations. Actors from the Providence-based Teatro ECAS role-played as clients, and two Latinx clinicians role-played as social workers.
